Contamination

• There is no magic “away” process; we hand-sort everything we collect. Please follow our guidelines and remove all plastic, stickers, twist-ties, and more from your bucket, and see more below in our bucket-list section.

• Remember if it’s synthetic: double check its certifications and read the number at the bottom! If there are no listed certs, it goes in the garbage.

Yard Waste

• Households, we accept yard waste! We will pick it up in 30-gallon paper leaf bags or a compostable bag. $2 per bag.

• Must email in advance so we can plan space & confirm no herbicides are used. Bags must be under 10 lb, and free of sod/dirt/rocks

Seasonal Items

• Attend our annual free Pumpkin Smash event!

• Pumpkins: Free if they fit in the bucket. Extra pumpkins cost $3-$5 each. Large hauls require special pickup.

• Christmas tree pickup: $15-$20 by request.

Extra Waste & Special Pickups

• Extra bags or full buckets: $4 each per pickup.

• Need a second bucket? + $5 per month.

• Emergency pickup for forgotten buckets: $8, depending on location.

• Free 24/7 drop-off is available. See the welcome email for details.

Bucket Care & Placement

• Keep a weight on the lid to prevent loss. Replacement buckets cost $10, and they are refundable if found.

• Apartment residents should label buckets with name and unit number. We will figure out a good placement per building.

• Buckets must be curbside or in a designated pickup spot. No porch pickups unless arranged.

Bucket Cleaning & Liners

• Request a washed bucket via email before pickup day.

• We clean buckets with water and a scrub brush outdoors.

• Compostable liners are provided with each pickup.

• We recommend rinsing and drying your bucket before adding a new liner.

Finished Compost

• Free compost distribution resumes in Spring- subscribers, look out for an email. Seasonally, 10 15 gallons of free compost.

• Bulk compost is available by the cubic yard year round. Members get special pricing!

• Members acknowledge that the free compost shares are only for personal use. We love to give it back to those who pay for our services. Friends and family are welcome to buy compost from us anytime!

• Members must be active subscribers both before and after the giveback to receive this bonus. If a subscription is canceled within two months following pickup, the cost of the compost share will be applied to the account.

• There are costs on both sides of the process, and we always do our best to keep pricing consistent and as affordable as we can.

• We are not just haulers, but also processors. These are two separate businesses under one roof.
